Nació el año 1887. Estudió en la Escuela Normal de Chillán, llegando a ocupar el cargo de Sub Director.
En 1948 es nombrado Director de la recién reabierta Escuela Normal de Curicó que fuera cerrada en 1928 por Carlos Ibañez del Campo.
Las distintas promociones que recibieron el anhelado Título de Profesor Primario, le recordarán siempre con su fraternal sonrisa y el cálido cariño que supo entregarnos como Maestro, Director y amigo.
Fallece a los 85 años en Valparaíso el 8 de Diciembre de 1972, después de haber cumplido 50 años de entrega fecunda y generosa a la educación chilena. Sus restos permanecen en el cementerio de Playa Ancha, en el Bloque KLK, nicho N° 20. Hasta esta tumba han llegado muchos de sus queridos exalumnos, a testimoniar su gratitud al Maestro, Padre y Amigo de tantas generaciones que egresaron de la Escuela Normal de Curicó.

Я просто загнана в угол. Не знаю что мне делать. Руки трясутся, в голове – тысяча мыслей, но каждая держится всего-то доли секунд. Каждая кроме одной. Одна – просто не выходит у меня из головы…а вернее это даже не мысль, а голос, его голос. Может потому, что ожидала я совсем другого, а тут услышала массу всего приятного. Нежный, бархатный и только располагающий к себе. И да, он ещё слегка томный. Он как будто существует в одном измерении, а я в другом, и мы можем лишь изредка пересекаться. Мало, но это хоть что-то и поэтому я готова довольствоваться и этим. У меня своя жизнь, своя миссия в этой жизни, у него своя и вместе нам не быть. И возможно, что во всём виновата я. А может и он. А может мы оба. Но это не имеет никакого значения.
Здесь уже ничего не имеет значения. Главное, чтобы это всё было тихо, мирно, ласково, ненавязчиво – как его голос. Может я лицемерка, держу возле себя другого человека, и он даже не догадывается о его существовании…но как по другому???????????????????? Боюсь кому-то хоть что-то говорить. А думать о том, в чём я не права сейчас даже не хочется, ведь это мысли с этого мира, а я пока ещё не готова к тому, чтобы в него вернуться. Хочу быть там. Там всё по другому! Там я другая, причём во всём. Там я по другому на всё смотрю, по другому ко всему отношусь да и цели у меня там другие. Там я дышу, а в этом мире я задыхаюсь. Сначала задыхаюсь от того, что я не там, потом – от того, что здесь я другая, но этого изменить не могу. Там я всегда улыбаюсь и куда-то спешу, а здесь я теряюсь в мелочах и мне лень что-то делать. Вот только жаль, что есть связь между этими мирами. Да почему же я могу сидеть в этом мире и дрожать от мысли о том мире! Я не хочу, не хочу здесь жить! Я хочу туда. Хочу опять услышать этот голос и вернуться в тот мир всего на несколько минут, но зато каких сладостных.
Да, знаю, сама загнала себя в этот угол, но у меня уже нет сил просто встать и уйти оттуда.
